On screen, Steve Carell’s departure from The Office was pretty perfect. His farewell episode ‘Goodbye, Michael’ and those running up to it, were emotional and satisfying. They showed branch manager Michael Scott finally getting the love he’d always craved, and crucially, deserving it too. Screen adaptations of H.G. Wells’ The War Of The Worlds are like buses – they’d be better if they stank less. No, sorry. It’s because you wait around for one for ages and then two come at once. Matt Damon, Luke Hemsworth and Sam Neill have all been spotted on the set of Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder performing yet another play as the ‘actors’ depicting Loki, Thor and Odin, just as they did during a wild moment at the beginning of Thor: Ragnarok when Thor finally discovered that Loki had been posing as Odin (Anthony Hopkins) on Asgard for quite some time....
